We are in the mood for a melody...

PLAY us a song, you're the piano man, PLAY us a song tonight. Well, were all in the mood for a melody ...

And my girls, they did it up right! (cue the la la's)...

Last night was the girl's semi-annual piano recital. They practiced their little hearts out and they did a great job. Their piano teacher, Helena York (which does an amazing job with the 17 kids she teaches), has them perform a couple of times a year because she feels that this will help better prepare them. She is so good with the kids. She knows what it takes to get the kids motivated.

I just love that my girls are learning to play the piano. I have always wanted to learn how. Isn't it nice that we, as parents, have opportunities to live through our children? We finally retired the keyboard this past month and actually got a piano for the girls to play on and it so nice to hear it played in the house. I grew up with a piano in the house (Mom played) and there were so many times that we would sit together and she would play and I would sing. Those are memories I will have always and it makes me happy to think that my girls can use their talents to serve or can make memories with their future children.
